How to Join Grace

Church membership is one of life’s most vital decisions and should be entered into with careful consideration and ample prayer. There are three stages when moving toward membership in Grace

  1. Introduce

  2. Aquaint

  3. Covenant

Introduce — Submitting a completed Membership Introduction Form is the first stage in moving toward church membership in Grace. The information you provide through this form allows you to make a spiritual introduction of yourself to the elders of Grace. “Intro” forms can be printed from the link above, or picked up from our Sunday morning resource table. Instructions for how to submit the form are detailed in its final section.

Acquaint — Brace yourselves... we want to know you and we want you to know us. Everyone still OK? The second two-fold stage of moving toward membership in Grace is designed to be more relational than what pen and paper are capable of providing. This stage includes participation in the Foundations of Grace* seminar (where we get to know each other), and having a conversation related to your “Intro Form” with a couple of Grace’s elders (where we get to know each other). The opportunity to interact with our elders will be arranged after a completed Introduction Form has been submitted, and usually takes place in the home of those pursuing membership. This conversation also allows for questions about the church that you may have. In the "Aquaint" stage, meaningful sharing is enjoyed which helps to pave the way for godly church relationships.

Covenant — After completing the initial two stages, and upon a recommendation to the congregation from the elders, individuals will be invited to have an opportunity to publicly affirm Grace’s Member Affirmation of Faith, and our Church Covenant. Upon one's public affirmation of these foundational documents, the congregation will then corporately affirm the will of the Lord for adding each individual to the covenant membership of Grace.
