A.M.B.E.R Adoption Fund by Jordan

In love He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself according to the kind intention of His will. - Ephesians 1:4-5.

The fund exists to encourage Christian families to consider adoption and to help them with the sometimes-burdening financial costs involved. The ultimate hope is that children who are adopted with help from the A.M.B.E.R. Adoption Fund will be affored the joys of growing in a Christian home and will personally come to embrace the adopting love of God for them through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Oftentimes adoption is viewed as a means of growing a family only if the parents battle the challenges of infertility. However, there are scores of children throughout the world who would be an indescribable blessing to a family, and who could be eternally benefitted themselves, if more Christian families would consider expansion through adoption. This type of love is a beautiful mirror of God's own love for His children...who have been adopted by Him.

The A.M.B.E.R. Adoption Fund is named in honor of Amber Mathenia, a wife and mother of two adopted children who went home to be with the Lord in January 2008. Amber's life and love exemplified the love that was shown to her by God as His adopted daughter. After trusting Jesus for her salvation several years ago, Amber gladly pursued opportunities to show God's matchless love to others...especially her two adopted children.

The Bible often speaks of God's love for His children as an adoptive love. For those who have received God's unparalleled adoption-love through faith in Jesus Christ, earthly adoption can serve as a picture to the world of one's heavenly adoption.

Not only does earthly adoption provide for precious children the love, nurture, and care that comes from a healthy home life, but when Christian families adopt they are also modeling the greatest love of all to their new family member--the love of God.

Ultimately, Grace Church is praying that the Lord will use the A.M.B.E.R. Adoption Fund to provide multiplied joys for families and children, and that those who are adopted with assistance from the fund will one day be a recipient of the adopting love of God through saving faith in Jesus Christ. This is why the A.M.B.E.R. Adoption Fund exists... because as Amber's life so clearly demonstrated: Adoption Magnifies the Beauty of Eternal Redemption.
