Kelly Update, Tuesday PM by Pat

Bryan says:

To God be the glory, great things He is doing.  Her numbers improved even more today and have held steady the last few hours.  (See Tuesday AM update).  As of 6:00 PM, her sat# is 98, her ventilator has decreased from 70% to 50% (another big improvement).  They hope to reduce her PEEP (the number used to measure the amount of pressure needed to expand her lungs --the typical breathing motion).  The number is currently 12.0.  For Kelly to be weaned from the ventilator her sat# has to be 93+, her oxygen intake 40% and her PEEP 6.0.  We were very encouraged today as Kelly began to communicate by writing messages on paper.  She was itching, wanted to make sure her bills were being paid, but most of all wanted to hear the Scripture read (I'm preaching it too) and to hear us pray.  Lord willing, we will see God's merciful hand at work, and continue to experience the peaceful nearness of Christ.
