Not Equal To Our Transcendent God, But Derivative From Him, Christians Also Transcend the Space-Time Continuum
In an inexplicable way, God's incomprehensible truth "makes sense"
to the Christian. This is not to suggest that anyone, other than God, fully grasps His revelation.
Think, for one example, of the fact that every Christian "understands" and believes in the Trinity!?!
Before labelling me a heretic for the post's title, reckon with God's truth.
1. Christians Believe That Only God is Eternal, And Though We Are Not Eternal, We Believe That We Were (In God's Saving Plan) Before the World Was
Ephesians 1:4 - "...[God] chose us in [Jesus] before the foundation of the world."
2. Christians Believe That Though We May Now Live In The 21st Century, We Were/Are Also Present At Many Points in Redemptive History
A. YOU DIED WITH JESUS ON THE CROSS
Romans 6:8 - "Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him."
Colossians 2:20 - "Since with Christ you died..."
Colossians 3:3 - "For you have died..."
B. YOU WERE RAISED WITH JESUS FROM THE DEAD
Ephesians 2:5-6 - "Even when we were dead in our trespasses, [God] made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved--and raised us up with Him..."
Colossians 2:12 - "...you were also raised with [Jesus] through faith in the powerful working of God, Who raised Him from the dead."
C. YOU ARE PRESENTLY WITH JESUS IN HEAVEN
Ephesians 2:6 - "...raised us up with [Christ] and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:20 - "But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ."
2 Corinthians 4:18 feels like fitting application to this meditation:
"...we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal."
